  Bighorn Co., WY in 35 Sylvia P. Apperson mother was full blooded Sioux Indian. Her name indian translated to "Running Water". Sylvia Pear1 Apperson, 9th child of William Newton and Lizzie Patton Apperson, was born July 30, 1886 near Meeteese, Big Horn County, Wyo. She died January 7, 1965, and was buried in Valley View cemetery, Torrington, Wyo. She was married twice, her first husband, whom she married January 23, 1907, was George Franklin Barnhart. He died April 26, 1917, and was buried at Daniel, Wyo. They were the parents of five children: George Edson Barnhart, lst child of Sylvia P. Apperson and George Franklin Barnhart, was born at Meeteese, in Big Horn County, Wyo., November 13, 1907. About l928 at Gurnsey, Wyo. he married Marian Lewis. They have four children but no birth dates or information on their families was shown: Betty, Sylvia, Loretta and George Franklin Barnhart. Edward James Barnhart, next child, was born at Daniel, Wyo., June 29 1909. He married Emma Hergert either on March 27 1939 or 1936 per another record. They have nine children, no Birthdates or family data shown: Esther, Marilyn, Grace, Charlotte, Eddy, Roy, Edwin, Clara and Mary Barnhart. Lena Elizabeth Barnhart, 3d child, was born on August 4, 1910, at Daniel, Wyo. She married Paul Hughes in l928. For a time they lived in Rock Springs, Wyo., later moving to Craig, Co. Their first two children were born in Rock Springs and the last two in Craig, Co. No data received on the families of any of their children: Sally, Paul, Jr., Robert and William Hughes. William Robert Barnhart, 4th child, was born at Lincoln, Nebr., February 9, 1913, and died in 1940. This son of ,Sylvia Pearl Apperson Barnhart was adopted by a family by the name of Snyder when Sylvia had to place her children in an orphanage after her husband1s death. William Robert Barnhart Snyder married but name of wife not shown. They had two children: Robert and Marie Snyder; no other data on them. Charles Carl or Elmer Barnhart, was born at Lincoin, Nebr., October 25, 1915. He married Arlene, or Irene Mitchell. In 1972 they lived in Scotts Bluff, Nebr. Charles Barnhart was adopted while in the orphanage by a family named Carson by which name he was known. He and his wife have two daughters but no data was shown other than their names: Norma Jean Carson and Joann Carson. Sylvia P. Apperson Barnhart married her second husband, Myrle Elmo Crofts, at Rock Springs, Wyo., on February 12, 1921. He was born April 10, 189l, at Juanita, Adams Co., Nebr., a son of Charles W. and Amelia A. Thompson Crofts, and died March 1, 1946. Burial was in Valley Cemetery, Torrington, Goshen Co.,Wyo. There was one child by this marriage:' Charlene Eleanor Crofts, born January 14, 1922, at Rock Springs, Wyo. On April 12, 1941, she married Hollis Carl Brown. As of 1973 they lived on Star Route, Union, Ore., where they moved in 1960, at which time Sylvia also moved there and lived in a trailer house nearby. Charlene E. Crofts and Hollis Carl Brown had four children. Judy K. Brown, born January 11, 1943, at Rock Springs, Wyo. On April 4, 1961, she married Thomas Wayne Brown, born June 13, 1943, at Scotts Bluff, Nebr., a son of Orville and Margaret Gehrt Brown. Judy and her husband have the following children: The first five children of Judy Kay and Thomas W. Brown were born at LaGrande, Union Co., Ore., and the last child probably was born at Union, Ore. James Latten Brown, bn. July 12, 1961, Robbi Renee Brown, bn. May 27, 1963, Tammy Ann Brown, bn. June 20, 1964, Tommie Brown, bn. March 29, 1967, Alisia Brown, bn. December 8, 1971, Jamie Ray Brown, bn. May 10, 1974. Myrle Ray Brown, 2d child of Charlene E. Grofts and Hollis Carl Brown, was born June 8, 1946. In 1971 he married Karen Rogers. They have a son: Leonard Arthur Brown, born December 16, 1971, at Enterprise, Ore. Shari Lee Brown, 3d child, was born February 13, 1948, at Torrington, Wyo. Her husband is Gary Hart. They have two children: Marnie Michelle Hart, bn. March 9, 1968, LaGrande, Ore. Mindi Rachelle Hart, bn. December 14,1971, in Portland, Ore. Holly Ray Brown, bn. July 24, 1952, is the last child of Charlene E. Crofts and Hollis Carl Brown. She was not married as of April, 1975.
